Privacy Policy

GlobalJobCV.com ("we") builds a CV that's reformatted for the country you're applying to. This page describes what we collect to do that, why, who else touches it, and how to see, export, or delete it.

What we collect

• Account identity — an email address, a phone number, or the name/email/profile photo a provider like Google or Facebook shares when you choose to sign in that way. Signing in by phone sends you a one-time code by SMS; we don't otherwise store or use your number.
• Your CV content — whatever you put in the editor: name, contact details, work history, education, and anything else you choose to add. You control this entirely; nothing is collected from elsewhere.
• Job ads you paste or link, when you use "Tailor to Job Ad" — used only to generate that one tailored version of your CV. We don't keep a copy of the job ad text itself.
• Product analytics — which features you use (e.g. "downloaded a PDF"), your account's language setting, and an approximate country derived from your connection at the time (not a stored IP address — we never keep raw IP addresses). No advertising trackers, no data sold or shared with advertisers.

How we use it

• To show you your CV, save it, and generate the PDF you download.
• To reformat and tailor a CV to a job ad you provide — this is done by an AI model (Cloudflare Workers AI) processing your CV content and the job ad text for that one request; it isn't used to train any model, and we don't retain the job ad text afterward.
• To send account emails (confirming your address, resetting your password) and, if you use phone sign-in, your one-time SMS code.
• To understand which features are actually used, so we know what to build next.

Who else processes it

We don't sell your data. A small number of infrastructure providers process it on our behalf, strictly to run the product:

• Cloudflare — hosts the app, our database, and runs the AI model used for CV tailoring/translation.
• Supabase — handles account sign-in and authentication.
• Vonage — sends the SMS code if you sign in by phone.
• Scaleway — sends account emails (confirmation, password reset).
• Google / Facebook — only if you choose "Continue with Google/Facebook": they handle that sign-in step and share your name, email, and profile photo with us, per their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

• Your CVs and account profile: for as long as your account exists, or until you ask us to delete them.
• Product analytics events: automatically deleted after 24 months.

Your rights

These apply to every account, regardless of where you're located — not just where local law happens to require it:

• Access & export — download a copy of your profile, CVs, and analytics history at any time from your account settings.
• Erase — delete your CVs and profile data at any time (see "Deleting your data" below).
• Opt out — turn off product analytics for your account at any time, with no effect on the CV builder itself.

Deleting your data

Email waseem@globaljobcv.com from your account's address and ask us to delete your account. We'll permanently delete your CVs and profile data, typically within a few business days, and confirm by email once it's done.

If you signed in with Google or Facebook: removing GlobalJobCV.com's access from your Google or Facebook account settings stops future sign-ins, but does not by itself delete the CV and profile data already stored with us — you still need to email us as above to have that data deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
